Norman, the sole survivor of a tragic fire that took the lives of his parents when he was a young child, has struggled ever since with guilt feelings of which even he is unaware. Together with his girlfriend Penelope and his eight-month-old son Caleb, Norman tries to build a new life and to create the family he never knew. But the past catches up with him one night when Norman saves his best friend, Andi, who is blind, from a burning home. Norman's memories are rekindled, and he sets out on an unparalleled search, following the traces of the flames, whose strength he hopes will now heal him.
