For his work in "Goodnight Mommy" by Veronika Franz & Severin Fiala, Martin Gschlacht wins the award for Best Director of Photography from the Asociación de Argentina de Autores de FotografÃa Cinematográfica (ADF) at this year's Buenos Aires International Festival of Independent Films BAFICI. It's now the 11. award for "Goodnight Mommy". Congratulations to the winner!

In August 2015, the unforgettable Peter Kern died. In Memoriam to him we would like to announce the following event: Within an early morning event on sunday, 27th of September, the Stadtkino Vienna pays tribute to the wonderful and exceptional artist. The documentary feature "KERN" from Veronika Franz and Severin Fiala will be shown at 11am in the cinema, as well Peter´s last film "Der letzte Sommer der Reichen". Veronika Franz and Severin Fiala will be present on this day as well.

The Arthouse-Horrorfilm "Goodnight Mommy" by Veronika Franz and Severin Fiala will start running in american cinemas on September 11th. The US-Distributor Radius TWC, Horrorlabel of the Weinstein Company, produced a trailer, who became known as "the scariest trailer ever" on the web. It got 5,7 million klicks in 14 days on youtube. Screening also started in Austria, The Netherlands, Switzerland, France, Belgium, Germany and Turkey.

GOODNIGHT MOMMY premiers in New York at "New Directors/New Films"
After 35 film festival premieres within the last half year, "Goodnight Mommy" will celebrate it's New York premiere at New Directors/New Films this week. The festival is presented by MoMA Museum of Modern Art and the Film Society Lincoln Center and will run until March 29.

GOODNIGHT MOMMY wins two awards in Gérardmer
The award-winning feature film debut of Veronika Franz and Severin Fiala is again pleased with two awards: "Goodnight Mommy" was honored with the "SYFY Jury Prize" and the "The Région Lorraine Student Prize" at this year's 22° Festival International du Film Fantastique Gérardmer. Congratulations! "Goodnight Mommy" will start in French cinemas on April 22nd.
IN THE BASEMENT Documentary of the year
Ulrich Seidls essayfilm "In the Basement" won the public-vote to "Documentary of the year" of the Upper-Austria News. So starting on January 16th "In the Basement" will be screened in selected Cinemas in Upper-Austria.

"In the Basement", a film by Ulrich Seidl, is a nightmare journey through the depths of the Austrian soul: it is about brassband music and opera arias, expensive furniture and sleazy jokes, sexuality and sadism, fitness and fascism, snakes and weapons, love and the yearning for it. After the release of the film this fall, the accompanying book is now available by BENTELI Publishers. The photographic book intends to draw attention to the specific aesthetics and social dimension of Seidl’s tableaux with the help of film frames and texts.
