Bad Boys / Horrible Men is Ulrich Seidl's second work for the stage, consisting of excerpts from David Foster Wallace's extraordinary short story collection Brief Interviews with Hideous Men as well as Seidl's own texts. Ulrich Seidl addresses men's fear of failure, fantasies of violence, compulsions, as well as the entire male dilemna in relationships to women and to other paranoid demands to dominate. Bad Boys / Horrible Men deals with fears, fantasies of power and humiliations, recounted by men, and about the fetishized place of men: the basement, in all its various functions as a hobby room, party space, shooting range, shelter...- Credits
